LESSONS

BEGINNER JEWELRY LESSONS
For everyone! I’ve had the pleasure to teach people with absolutely no crafting experience to people with jewelry businesses looking to learn a new technique, children as young as 8, and people with two-inch manicured nails. They’ve ALL walked out wearing metal pieces made with their very own hands. These classes are your introduction to the world of metalsmithing.
-

INTERMEDIATE JEWELRY LESSONS
…are for people who have already taken a beginner class or have done metalsmithing in the past. If you are one of the latter, I will contact you prior to our lesson so we can discuss your experience!
-

CUSTOM JEWELRY LESSONS
…are for both beginner and intermediate students who have an idea for a piece that they’d like to make. These lessons are tailored specifically to what you’d like to try whether that’s a technique or a design. Please book a 30 minute Custom Design Consultation to discuss the details of your project. I will be able to evaluate the time and materials necessary for a final cost as well as determine a schedule that works for us both.

In this 3 hour class you will produce up to three sterling silver and / or brass bangle bracelets to wear home. During this experience you'll learn about the tools and equipment used in basic metalsmithing for jewelry. You'll size, form, saw, solder, shape, hammer and polish metal using tools such as a caliper, jewelers saw, files, multiple hammers, a butane torch and a flex shaft among others. You’ll choose from sterling silver and brass metal wires in various shapes and sizes and will learn how to add your own unique textures. All tools and materials will be provided and no experience is necessary.
Make Your Own Cornicello @ Crafted 6/27
Learn how to create your own cornicello out of wax in the lost wax-casting style of jewelry making, while learning about the object's significance in Sicilian history.
In this two-hour workshop, you'll learn about the tools and the process with plenty of time to create your own unique wax mold cornicello. They make for great pendants and keychains!
Your mold will need to be cast in brass as a second step, and your pieces will be shipped to you two weeks after the workshop. Your casting costs are included in the ticket price.
This workshop is in collaboration with (and was the brainchild of) Lindsay Marie Morris, the Sicilian American author of The Last Letter from Sicily and Beneath the Sicilian Stars, which were both released by Storm Publishing in 2025.
Lindsay will begin the class by speaking on this iconic Italian horn-shaped amulet, believed to ward off il malocchio (the evil eye) and shield wearers from negativity and misfortune. Then, she will read from Beneath the Sicilian Stars, which prominently features this precious object and its own incredible journey.
All tools and materials are provided, and no experience is necessary.
